Xarxa de Centres Cívics de Girona
Visual identity redesign for the Xarxa de Centres Cívics de Girona, which connects the eight civic centers distributed across the city. The brand is built on a dynamic, adaptable, and modular system that seamlessly blends institution and community.
Each Civic Center building serves as a landmark within its neighborhood. In this new identity, they become symbols that identify them as unique pieces within a global network.
The Xarxa de Centres Cívics de Girona needed to update its visual identity, which had become outdated. The goal was to boost its presence across the city and keep the spotlight on the eight individual centers, while seamlessly integrating them under an umbrella brand. It was essential to convey that they belog to a broader, interconnected, and cross-functional network.
We designed a visual system that works on two levels: celebrating each Civic Center’s unique identity while strengthening the global network. The logos are built around architectural abstracts—simplifying each building's facade or defining feature into a distinct symbol. This approach captures the only permanent element of the spaces, which act as vessels for the evolving community of people, activities, and local associations that define each neighborhood's essence. Paired with a dedicated color code, these symbols form eight distinct institutional marks.
The overall network identity emerges from this vibrant mix of individual centers and colors, anchored by two neutral baseline tones that unify the entire system.
