Vívid has established itself as one of the leading wine tourism events in Catalunya. The festival offers around sixty unique wine-related experiences across the Empordà region.
The visual identity connects Empordà’s Greco-Roman past with its winemaking tradition through illustrations printed with wine-based ink. These visuals are reconstructed using geometric shapes, as if unearthed directly from the Empúries archaeological site.
In 2024, the festival celebrates its 10th anniversary and seeks to evolve its visual identity. With this year’s edition dedicated especially to the women of the wine tourism sector, the festival proposes a shift from Bacchus — the Greco-Roman god of wine — to the Bacchantes, his mythological priestesses.
We take the visual identity beyond the mythological figure to represent the enduring tradition and deep-rooted presence of wine in the region. We create three symbolic figures using geometric shapes that connect Empordà to its past: the grape, the amphora, and the Bacchante. The porous, imperfect finish of the illustrations gives the poster a distinctive character — the result of reducing red wine to a thick, handmade ink used to print each piece manually on paper.
